Petousis Markos holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, a Master of Science in Production Systems from Technical University of Crete, Greece, and a PhD from Technical University of Crete, Greece. His Phd is in the area of virtual reality and machining processes simulation. He is member of the Greek Technical Chamber since 1997. Since 1994 (first as an undergraduate student and then as a Mechanical Engineer), he has worked in several successfully completed international and national research projects funded by European and National resources in the area of industrial design, CAD/CAM/CAE/CNC, machining processes, virtual reality, additive manufacturing and biomechanics.
Since 1999, he is working at the Technological Education Institute of TEI, where he teaches
CAD/CAM/CNC/CAE and machining processes. In 2017 he was elected Assistant Professor at the Institute. He has also educational experience for similar courses in the University of Crete and the Hellenic Mediteranean University (formerly, Technical University of Crete).
